Parker's Harvest Program 2015

Yesterday my sweet Parker celebrated Thanksgiving with his preschool friends at his
Harvest Program!
They had been practicing their songs for weeks and he knew just what to do, but when show time came, poor Parker burst into tears! Thankfully his Bible teacher, Ms. Ann, was there to help! He never got up on stage, but sat right in her lap for the entire program!
After the program was finished though, he was one happy Running Bear!
It's always so sweet seeing little ones dressed up and singing about being thankful!
As soon as the program was finished, we all headed over to the fellowship hall to enjoy a potluck lunch together!
As a little gift, we received a Thanksgiving cookbook made by all of the little ones!
Parker put his recipe for peas in it! This is what it said..."Mommy makes them. She puts them in the microwave. She puts butter on them and then we eat them all!" So funny!
He had lots of special guests there to be a part of his morning!
I am thankful for my Parker and a sweet morning with him!

A Good, Good Weekend!

I always love the weekends, but this past weekend was SO great!
Friday night I surprised Matt with a little date night. I asked his parents to come over and keep the kids so we could go have dinner together. We weren't gone long, but it was so nice to get to spend some time with just him!
Then on Saturday morning I had some of my BEST girls over!
The Lord was so good to me during my college years to give me some of the best girlfriends ever!
We try to get together every once in a while to catch up, but it's not always easy with everyone's busy schedule (and the 21 kids that we have between us! Ha!). I decided that it was important to see these girls before the holiday season begins, so I invited them over for breakfast so that we could enjoy each other for a bit!
It was such a sweet time of chatting (lots of chatting), laughing (lots of laughing), and encouraging each other in the Lord! My heart was so full and refreshed after our time together!
I am so blessed!
After the girls left for the morning, I gathered my own little crew and we headed to the Concord Christmas parade! We met some of our sweet friends from our Sunday school class out there and bundled up for an afternoon of fun!
The parade was LONG and we were all getting hungry so we left just a bit early and enjoyed a pizza dinner!
Sunday we went to church and then spent some time relaxing and napping around the house!
We are gearing up for a very full week of Thanksgiving celebrations with LOTS of family!
We have so much to be thankful for this season!
The Lord has been so good to us!

Preschool Thanksgiving With Brooklyn...

This morning I got to join my Brooklyn for her Thanksgiving feast at preschool!
I just LOVE her preschool!
It is the sweetest place ever and I am so thankful that my kids can be a part!
Everyone brought in an item to share for their "First Thanksgiving Feast". Mrs. Bernie even brought in a turkey and the kids had the best time helping her cook it in her crockpot!
She taught them what it meant to baste a turkey and everyone got a chance to try it too!
So fun for them!
Mrs. Bernie helped each of them make a special place setting at the table and then they filled their plates with lots of yummy food! Pumpkin muffins, popcorn, raisins, applesauce, turkey, veggies, and cheese...and of course pumpkin pie was served for dessert!!
They played a silly turkey game and shared a sweet song that they had been working on!
I treasure moments like this that I can be a part of!
What a fun morning with my girl!

Disney Days-Part 2

Wednesday was supposed to be our day off, but it was still jam packed with Disney FUN!
We woke up early and headed to breakfast at Chef Mickey's!
Chef Mickey's is in the Contemporary Resort. The monorail goes straight through the resort which is pretty cool to see!
It was an all you can eat breakfast buffet! It was so yummy!
We got to see Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Daisy! They had a fun dance party while we ate and also celebrated Jake's birthday! Jake even got a birthday kiss from Minnie:)
After we finished up, we made our way back to the resort to do a little swimming!
The resort staff had lots of games and contests going on. We played a little bit and then just enjoyed swimming around and relaxing!
Our afternoon flew by and then we had to get ready for our supper!
We were headed to O'hana for supper at the Polynesian! Matt was really looking forward to this meal!
This was our view from our dinner spot! If you look closely you can see Cinderella's castle in the background!
The Polynesian was just beautiful!
We had fun just looking around at everything and walking on the beach!
We finished up and headed back to our room so we could get to bed as early as possible!
We needed to get some good rest for our next big day at HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS and a VERY special BIRTHDAY!
Thursday was a very important day! It was BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION DAY for our family!
Jake turned seven years old and he got to celebrate at Hollywood Studios! So FUN!
We started off our day by riding The Great Movie ride and Star Tours!
Then made our way over to see the Frozen Sing Along show which we all LOVED!
After the show we raced over to Hollywood and Vine for our lunch reservations!

It was once again buffet style, which made everyone happy!
We saw Handy Manny, Doc McStuffins, Sophia the First, and Jake!

We saw two GREAT shows in the afternoon. We saw Lights, Motors, Action and Indiana Jones! Disney gave us front row seats to the car stunt show and my three big kids got to be Junior Directors in the Indiana Jones show...all to celebrate Jake's birthday! It was so awesome!
We also played in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area while we were in HS!
The kids thought is was so neat!
One of my favorite things that we got to do while in HS was meet Buzz and Woody!
It was worth the long wait:)
And we all LOVED the Toy Story ride too! A family favorite for sure!
We also got to meet Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc.!
We were just about ready to head out for the day, but Parker and I had one more ride to go on...TOWER OF TERROR! We were the only brave ones and we LOVED it!

We had so much fun celebrating Jake's 7th birthday in such a FUN place!
Best Birthday EVER!!!!
On Friday, we were lucky enough to head back for another visit to MAGIC KINGDOM!
There was some stuff that we didn't get to do on Sunday that we wanted to make sure was on our schedule this time.
Our first ride was "It's A Small World"!
My kids loved riding this! Emery stood at the front of the boat the entire time and just looked around!
We also got to go back and ride some of our favorite rides again (like Seven Dwarf Mine Train and Barnstormer)!
We had fast passes for Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Space Mountain! SO.MUCH.FUN!
Another BIG favorite of ours was the Buzz Light Year ride! It was so awesome!

We saw another FUN parade...
And we got to meet Woody and Jesse!
This is probably one of my most favorite photos that I got! Emery loved Woody!
We finished up our day by watching Mickey's Philharmagic Show and eating Mickey pretzels!

What a MAGICAL (and absolutely exhausting!) week we had being together as a family!
We made lifetime memories and are so thankful for such a special gift!
See ya next time Disney!!!

Disney Days-Part 1

Several months ago Matt came home from work and said that he had a HUGE surprise for us!
He said that a very dear family was sending our entire family to Disney for an entire week! WHAT???
We were to pick a time that would work for us to go and then start the fun of planning such a magical vacation! We would get to enjoy all of the theme parks, a Disney dining plan, and the Disney Memory Maker!
What an AMAZING gift!
We had been counting down to our BIG trip for months and FINALLY the time came for us to go!
We stayed right on Disney property at the Art of Animation! It was such a neat place!
When we first arrived we had to wait for our room to get ready, so we took some time to look around!
The resort was HUGE, so there was LOTS to see!
This was our building at the resort...
We stayed in a Cars suite. We thought Jake and Parker would really enjoy that!
This is what the inside of our room looked like! The details were AMAZING!
Of course we also had to check out the resort pools! This one was the Little Mermaid pool, which we enjoyed swimming in. Brooklyn thought is was so cool that you could hear music playing under the water while you swam! They also had a splash pad area which Emery LOVED!
After we got settled in just a bit, it was time for us to get ready for our first character meal!
(It was a little bit of an adventure getting there since the monorail had broken down, but we made it! Whew!)
We had dinner reservations for 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian!
We were going to have dinner with Cinderella...
and Prince Charming and the Step Sisters...
It was a wonderful dinner to begin with!
After we finished up supper, we took the monorail for a little ride around Disney before we headed back to our resort! The kids loved it!
We didn't want to be out too late though because we had a big day ahead of us...
We waited anxiously for the gates to open and then off we went!
We rode lots of rides and tried to take in every magical moment! Our favorite rides this day were Seven Dwarf Mine Train and Goofy's Barnstormer rollercoaster! The park was really crowded, but we managed to work our way through and ended up not having to wait in many long lines!
My Parker in front of Cinderella's Castle...
For our lunch we ate at Be Our Guest which is in Belle's castle!
The food was great and just being inside the castle was amazing!
Brooklyn and I loved it! We even tried "The Gray Stuff"...and it was delicious:)
After lunch we rode a few more rides and then saw the afternoon parade, which was one of my most favorite things! We saw so many characters and the entire thing was just so exciting to watch!

For our supper, we had reservations at Crystal Palace!
It was buffet style, which was just perfect for our hungry crew!
We met Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore!
We wrapped up our very long day with a few more rides, some gift shop stops, and then the night time Electrical Parade! As soon as it was over we decided to call it a night and head back to the resort! We were exhausted!

Monday morning we woke up early to catch the bus to EPCOT!
It was definitely less crowded than MK was which was really nice!
While in Epcot we got to meet Mickey...

and Goofy!
We also got to ride Test Track, which was a HIT with my boys! They LOVED this super fast ride! They got to ride it several times which was great!
The highlight of the day for Brooklyn was eating lunch at Akershus!

When we walked in we got to meet Belle!
(Poor Emery had just fallen asleep right before we got there!)
We got to meet Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella...
And Snow White and Arielle!
(Arielle LOVED Brooklyn's shirt! She said "Jumpin' Jellyfish! Look who's on your shirt!" Ha!)
They were all so sweet with my kids and just chatted away with them as they signed autograph books and took pictures with us!
We finished up our day at Epcot by late afternoon.

We decided to head back to the resort for some swimming and had a pizza dinner out by the pool!
It was nice to be able to enjoy our resort a bit!
Tuesday morning we were off to ANIMAL KINGDOM!
This was such a fun park! It was my first time visiting and I really enjoyed it!
We had to be at AK extra early (before the park even opened) in order to be on time for our breakfast reservations at Tusker House!
It was a terrific way to start off our day! We stuffed ourselves with every kind of breakfast food you could think of (including the famous Mickey waffles and jungle juice)!
We got to meet Mickey, Goofy, Daisy and Donald!
Right after our breakfast we had fast passes for our Jungle Safari!
We saw so many animals just roaming around! My kids loved it!
Throughout the day we rode several rides, enjoyed Dinoland, and then saw a few shows!
We saw the Lion King show and the Nemo show which were both AMAZING!!!
We also made time to meet Pocahontas!
And we met Pluto and Goofy!
Our day would not have been complete without riding Everest! Brooklyn and I rode it first. It was pretty intense! Ha!
She wouldn't ride it again and Jake wouldn't go at all, so Matt had to ride it by himself!
And the grand finale for the day was riding the Kali River Rapids!
I rode with the kids first and then Matt took them again! We got a little wet (Brooklyn got soaked, Ha), but since it was our last ride of the day, we really didn't mind!
Our trip was off to a great start for sure...part 2 will be up next!
