Harvest Programs

This past Tuesday both Jake and Sis had Thanksgiving programs at school. Jake DOES NOT like to do things like this AT ALL! Ha! Poor Jake:( His class sang a few songs and recited Psalm 100.
Matt went to his classroom and saw his little program while I went to the preschool to see Sissy.
This girl did a super job in her preschool Harvest Program!
She sang several sweet little songs and then the kids gave us a little "cookbook" that they made.
(Sissy's recipe was for rice. This is what she wrote, "My mom and Dad put sugar in it and they put it in some water. Then they mix it and cook it on the stove. They put pepper in it and we eat it!" Ha!)
After the program, we all had a potluck lunch and celebrated Thanksgiving together!
My Grandma got to come and watch her too! I love this picture of them together!

She goes to the sweetest little school and we are so blessed to be apart!
Thankful for such sweet Thanksgiving memories!

My Four Little Blessings

I am thankful for so many things in my life, but being a mommy to these FOUR precious little ones, is pretty amazing!
I am thankful for my sweet Jake! I am thankful for my handsome and smart boy! I am thankful for his curiosity. I am thankful for the moments that I get to spend with him each and every day watching him grow!
I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me with two beautiful and sweet girls! I am so thankful that they have each other to grow up with!
I am thankful for Brooklyn's funny and easy going personality. She is such a joy and loved by so many!
I am thankful for my new baby girl, Emery Caroline! I love her precious smile (when she shows us one) and ALL of her rolls:) I am thankful for her tiny hands that can wrap around my fingers.

I am thankful for my red headed little boy, Parker! I am thankful for all of the cuddles that he gives me! He is the best hugger EVER! He is my little buddy for sure! I am thankful for his strong muscles and his sweet smile and laugh!

 Psalm 106:1
Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!

More Smiles

I was able to get a few smiles out of this girl the other day:). She is still pretty stingy with her smiles. We are always trying, but we still have to work really hard! Ha!
Love her bunches!

Student of the Month

A few weeks ago Matt and I received an e-mail from Jake's teacher at school letting us know that he was chosen to be "Student of the Month"! We were so excited to get such great news!
He was recognized in chapel last week and was presented with a certificate!
Kindergarten has been a HUGE adjustment for us. We got off to a little bit of a bumpy start, but I think that we are finally in our groove! We are so pleased with his sweet teacher and are so thankful for the love, kindness, and patience that she shows him everyday as she pours into him.
As I was sitting in chapel last week, my heart was overwhelmed with gratefulness as I thought about him being in a Christian school this year. This was a HUGE desire of ours and I am so thankful that the Lord provided this opportunity for our family. What a blessing it has been!
Great job, Jake!
We are proud of YOU!

A Perfect Girls Afternoon

Sunday afternoon was a GIRL'S DAY OUT! We have a new American Girl store that opened up a few weeks ago in our area and I really wanted to take Brooklyn to see it (before it gets CrAzY busy during the holidays)! She doesn't have a doll, but we get the magazine in the mail often and she LOVES to look through it and make her wish list!
Matt kept the boys for me while we had some special time together!
We actually invited my mom and sisters to come with us!
We all had the best time browsing the store and then just walking the mall! It was all decorated for Christmas and it looked beautiful!
We hope to go back to the AG store one day soon and eat in the little Bistro that they have! I think we have a few little girls in our family that would absolutely LOVE that;)

This was Brooklyn's favorite doll, Kit. My sweet girl had some fun dressing up like her! Ha!

I always love any time with the girls!
(Even my Emery came with us. She just pretty much slept the entire time though!)
Can't wait for our next GIRL'S DAY OUT!

Emery's 2 Month Check Up

Last week I took Emery Caroline to the doctor for her 2 month check up!
She is growing so big these days and is changing fast!

Dr. B asked me some questions about how she is doing and she seems to be right on track!
She weighs 14lbs. and 13oz. (97%). (At 2 months B was 13.14 and Parker was 16.8). She is 24.5 inches long (97%) and her head circumference is 39.5cm (75%).
I knew this appointment required some shots. Ugh! She got 3 shots in her legs and one she took by mouth. She cried for a minute, but she was ok;) However, later on in the day her little legs were SO sore. I could barely hold her! I tried to keep her in her swing where she actually slept most of the day. She was much better by the next day.
Thankful for a healthy baby girl!
Next appointment is for her 4 month check up!

Emery Caroline: 2 Months

Today my sweet Emery Caroline turned 2 months old!
She is SUCH a good baby! Sometimes I just can't believe how good she is;) Ha!
She is LOVED to PIECES by all of us...especially my Parker! He is ALL ABOUT her! It is quite funny! He is ALWAYS right up in her face talking to her and kissing her. He LOVES to feed her and hold her...ALL THE TIME!
Emery is a GREAT sleeper! She naps throughout the day...even with all the noise and craziness that goes on in our house!
She is drinking 5-6 ounces at a time.
She usually has her last bottle around 9:00ish and then will give me 4 to 5 hour stretches at night!
So, I am only getting up once a night! I can even lay her down for bed awake and she will go to sleep all on her own! She LOVES to be swaddled up tight in her blanket.
She is wearing 3-6 month clothes and a size 2 diaper.
I'll find out her stats tomorrow at her 2 month check up:)
She is also starting to give us some smiles. We still have to work hard at it, but every once in a while she will show us one, and they are the best!
She hardly ever cries, but she does cry during her bath! She is not a fan! I try to wash her fast, but she just doesn't like it! Ha!
She is usually content sitting in her swing or little seat, but she does love for me to hold her too, and I don't mind that a bit!
We have had some warm days here lately, so she has enjoyed sitting with me outside while we watch the big kids play. Today we had a playdate with some sweet friends and I put her in their outdoor baby swing and she just fell asleep swinging!
She is just precious and we are so thankful that she is ours!
Happy 2 Months, Emery Caroline!
We love you!

Starting to Smile:)

Emery Caroline is starting to give us some super sweet smiles!
I have to work pretty hard for them still, but they are THE SWEETEST when I get one!
She will be eight weeks on Friday and we have been waiting to see some:)
I can get her to smile the most when I'm up feeding her in the middle of the night.
That's when it is most quiet in our house and I can talk to her without all my other little loves fighting for her attention;)
I love this sweet baby girl so much!
(And look how "squishy" she is getting! Ha!)

Treats, Treats, and More Treats!

Last week we enjoyed lots of fall fun! We enjoyed bon fires and s'mores, fall festivals and parties, trunk or treats, and of course trick or treating!
Thursday Sissy had her little fall party at preschool. She had to wear her costume and they enjoyed a fun pizza lunch! They did some fall crafts and enjoyed LOTS of delicious goodies!
Then on Friday, Jake had Bible Character day at his school. I had a little bit of a hard time coming up with something for him to be. I knew he wouldn't want anything fancy, so we decided that he could be the little boy that shared his lunch! His teacher said he wore his costume for just a minute when he came into the classroom and then told her that he wanted to put it up:) Ha! That's SO Jake;)

His fall party was later on in the afternoon, so the kids and I got to join him for all of the fun!
His party was so sweet and simple. He had a great time! After it was over we got to skip out of school a few minutes early and start our weekend! Yay!

Then on Friday night the kids COULD NOT WAIT to head out into the neighborhood with their friends to trick or treat! We live in a neighborhood FULL of kids, so it's always fun to be out with everyone!
Here are my sweet FOUR all dressed up and ready to go!

It was a bit chilly walking around, but we had a GREAT time!
We walked several streets collecting all kinds of yummy treats before coming home and sorting and eating it all!
What a FUN night!
Happy Halloween!
