A Sick Crew

We are finally feeling better at our house after being struck by the vicious stomach bug!
Parker went down first on Thursday afternoon. Matt and I both went down Friday evening and then in the middle of the night my Sissy did! Jake was the only one that missed out this time!

I spent all day yesterday cleaning my house from top to bottom!
Anything and everything we even possibly touched, went in the wash! Ha! I don't think my washing machine stopped at all yesterday!

It is finally good to see these sweet smiles again!

So glad we're feeling better!

Jake's Special Week

This week was a very special week for my Jake;).
Jake was celebrating some fun things this week at preschool! Tuesday was tacky day. I did not think he would participate just knowing his personality, but he did, and he looked great;)! Matt suggested that he get tacky by wearing his bathing suit and he LOVED that idea! Ha!

Then Thursday he was chosen as the "Student in the Spotlight"! He brought home a very special bag and had to fill it with five items to share with his class.
But, the fun didn't end there...it was also "Sweet Treat Thursday" and who else better to bring a treat to his class, but Matt and the Kona Ice truck!

The class LOVED having a cool treat on such a HOT day!
They got to go in the truck and see how things work and then made their own Kona's.

Jake was super excited to have his Daddy come to school!
It's been a good (and very busy, whew) week!

The Great Outdoors

This weekend we were back at the ball fields!
Jake had his second baseball game and he did so much better! He hit the ball great and ran around all the bases!

I was so proud!
I LOVE my little baseball player;)!

I also LOVE this little girl!
She is the BEST cheerleader out there!

When we got home, we enjoyed more of the beautiful spring weather!
This little guy LOVES to be outside. Anytime we open the doors to go out, he is right there at our feet wanting to go out too!

Thankful for some sweet time with my family!

A Pinkalicious and Pizza Playdate

Yesterday I set up a playdate with a little boy from Jake's preschool.
We decided to meet up at ImaginOn! This is one of my favorite places to take my kids!
We have been several times before and each time we have loads of fun.
The kids are able to explore all sorts of things and always enjoy the things they have to offer!

Yesterday was a little bit special though! We decided to get there for their family story time and in honor of the Pinkalicious presentations they are putting on in their theater, it was Pinkalicious day!

All of the workers were dressed up in pink, they read Pinkalious stories, had a craft and scavenger hunt for the kids to do, and of course...

had PINK cupcakes!

After a fabulous time inside, we decided to take a walk outside just a few blocks to Brixx Pizza.
We enjoyed our lunch outside on the patio. The kids ate great and then had fun watching the trolleys pass by!

Our downtown area is so pretty so, when we do get a chance to go for a visit, it's always a blast!

After our lunch we took our time walking back. We let the kids play a little out in the courtyard and just enjoyed the beautiful weather!

Such a super fun day spent with sweet, new friends!

Go, Jake!

This past Saturday Jake played in his very first t-ball game.
It was definitely a memorable one. Ha!

After getting all suited up, he was ready to play!

He had a great cheering section and of course his Daddy was right there coaching him along, but when all the attention was on him, it did NOT go so well. Ugh.

He hit the ball great, but when it came time to run the bases, he just stood there! It didn't surprise me at all though. That is SO his personality.
He started to run one time because Matt said they were racing, but he didn't even make it all the way to the base before stopping again.

His team had fun playing and hopefully as the weeks go by he will gain some confidence.
He did look pretty cute out there in his baseball gear!

Love my boy!

Go, Jake!

Parker is 11 months!

Yesterday my Parker turned 11 months!
I can't believe we are so close to his FIRST birthday!

When I took you to the doctor last week to get your ears rechecked, you were 25 lbs. 6 oz.
You are wearing 18-24 month clothes, a size 3 shoe, and a size 4 diaper.

You are eating EVERYTHING these days. You can feed yourself all sorts of finger foods these days, which makes things pretty easy for me. You usually just eat what we are having at meal time. You love muffins, cinnamon toast, fruit, chicken nuggets, yogurt, pasta, sloppy joes, tacos, and anything sweet;)

You enjoy apple juice and graham crackers for a snack and still take your bottle 3-4 times a day.
I don't think taking away your bottle is going to be a big deal at all though.

You are sleeping like a champ lately. You still cat nap in the morning, but take a great afternoon nap from 2-4:30 or so. I feed you your last bottle around 8:30 and then put you down for the night. You have been sleeping until 7:30 or 8!

You have figured out the stairs and can get up them very quickly;)
You have also learned to wave "bye-bye". You smile ALL.THE.TIME and just LOVE to be outside.

Sissy and you have been buddies lately. She calls you Baby Par;) Your brother and sister can make you laugh so hard by doing the silliest things. It is so funny.

You are not walking yet, but just within the last few days you have let go and stood for just a second or so. You are beginning to figure it out, I think. You do like to hold onto my hands and walk around together.

You are my sweet boy and I can't wait to celebrate your big day!

I love you, Parker!
To the moon and back;)!

Love,
Mommy

Spring Break 2013

I have had such a sweet Spring Break with my kids!
I know that I only teach two mornings a week, but I was worn out! This year has been a bit stressful. It has required lots of extra work and tons of planning. It was so nice to have a week off to catch my breath and not have anything school related hanging over my head! Ah;)!

Monday we loaded up and headed to one of my favorite places! I met my sister and her crew at Dan Nichols park. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we all had a blast!

Poor Parker had a full day...he kept dozing off in the swing;)!

Jake and Sissy got to mine for gems! I think that was their most favorite part of the day!
We had never done that before!

Tuesday we stayed close to home.
We had some beautiful spring weather, so we were able to play a ton outside.
I love taking my kids out to play! It just makes us all a little happier;)!

Wednesday we met up with one of Jake's good buddies, Jay! We went to the park. They had tons of fun running around playing all sorts of fun thing together.

Sissy had a good time too. I love playing at this park. It is so nice (except for the squirrels that kept getting IN our bags looking for food! Ha!)

Thursday the weather turned very cold and rainy!
I declared it a jammie day. Well, the kids stayed in their jammies all day and I used it as a cleaning day! I love having a clean house!

Then yesterday, we had a super playdate with some other friends of ours and then went to dinner at my mom's while Matt was working. We finished up our evening with a trip to Sweet Fr0gs for an end of spring break treat!

I am a bit sad that Spring Break is over, but the countdown to summer vacation is ON!
Woot! Woot!

He Has Risen Indeed! Easter 2013

Yesterday was spent celebrating our RISEN SAVIOR!
I am thankful for the cross and what my Savior did for me there, but am so grateful that Sunday came! He was no longer in that tomb, but He had risen!

Sunday morning we went to church. We had the most wonderful service and worship time! I am so thankful for my church and the time that we can gather each week to worship! Matt and I talked all day about what a great morning it was!

After church we headed over to my parents house for Easter lunch. Matt's parents were supposed to join us, but ended up not making it.

I am so thankful for my little family!
I love them dearly!

We spent the afternoon eating, chatting, and relaxing together!

My two littles;)

This was my sweet Parker's first Easter. Last year at Easter I was VERY pregnant:)!
He looked so handsome yesterday and of course was full of smiles even though he didn't get a nap.

He also had fun playing on Mimi's piano. I know the house FULL of people enjoyed his music too! Ha!

It's always fun to have lots of cousins around too!
We hid dozens of eggs around the yard for all of them to hunt! It was a little muddy, but that didn't slow any of them down!

And this picture is a bit special.
Brooklyn has always been a bit hesitant around Puppa, but yesterday she was all about him and wanted to jump right on his lap and get a picture!

Love them;)

We had a super Easter 2013!

"He is not here, He is RISEN!"
