First Trip to the Dentist

Last Friday I took Jake and Brooklyn to the dentist for the first time!

They didn't really know what to expect, but we talked about it and they seemed pretty excited about going! When they called us back, we all went together. Jake jumped in the chair first. He did pretty good. I could tell he was a bit nervous, but he was a champ! They cleaned, flossed, and took some x-rays of his teeth. Everything checked out great!

Sissy on the other hand DID NOT do so well:(. She was hanging onto me and would not lay back in the chair and relax, so I had to sit with her. They did the best they could with her cleaning and flossing and said she did well for it being her first appointment and only being 2.

After we were done, the kids got new toothbrushes and a few other goodies!
Parker is actually scheduled to go right after his first birthday! Ha! Seems kind of funny to me, but that's what they told me they recommend!

Parker's 9 Month Check-Up

Today I took my Parker for his 9 month check up.
I love this appointment because I get to see how big my boy is growing, but there are NO shots! Dr. B asked me all sorts of questions about his eating, his sleeping and about his development. He is eating some baby food, but mostly soft table food, drinks around 4-6oz bottles a day, sleeps from 8:30ish-6:30ish and is crawling around and pulling himself up on everything!

His 9 month stats are:

Weight: 24lbs (92%) (Brooklyn was 21lbs 12oz at 9 months!)
Height: 29 1/2 inches (87%)
Head Circumference: 18 1/4 inches (80%)

Love you bunches, Parker!
Thankful for a happy, healthy, BIG boy!

Our February SNOW!

We had been watching the weather forecast for a few days to see if the snow was REALLY on its way.
Most of the time we don't get much, if any, and then it is usually just ice.
When we woke up Saturday morning, we just had a light rain. We were all just a bit disappointed. But then, some white flakes began to fall! I called for the kids and they watched out the window as it came down! It was SNOWING!

It was beautiful coming down, but because we have had some spring like days lately, nothing stuck.
After hanging out for a while at home, we decided to get out for a bit and use a gift card we had to the O1ive Garden. As soon as we loaded up, the snow started falling again! This time it was HUGE, FLUFFY flakes. It came down so hard and so fast we could barley see while we were driving!
Within minutes the grass all around us was completely covered!
We came home to this...

Jake and Sis had a mini snowball fight with Matt when we got home, while Parker and I watched from inside;)

When we got home from church this morning there was still enough snow on the ground for a little more fun. We got all bundled up and headed out. We didn't last long though because it was COLD!

We don't really have "snow gear" either:)

Parker always enjoys being outside!

Sissy was the one who absolutely LOVED it!
She gets so excited anytime there is "snow" in the forecast!
She loved walking around in the snow and throwing snowballs!

She would have stayed out all morning if I would have let her!

It's always fun to have a snow day, but now BRING ON SPRING!

Parker's New Trick

Yesterday morning when I went in to get my Parker, I found him STANDING UP looking at me!
He looks so proud of himself! Ha!
Guess it's time to lower the crib!

He is just getting too big, too fast!

Love Week

This week we have had such a sweet time celebrating Valentine's Day!
Tuesday evening two of my sisters came over for dinner. Matt was gone with basketball, so I cooked us a nice Valentine's dinner and then we had strawberry cake and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert! Then they helped Jake make his Valentine mailbox for his party at his preschool. I always LOVE spending time with them!
Wednesday morning we got together with my sister, Jen, and her three little ones for a Valentine's Day playdate! We planned a few cute crafts to do and then had a festive little lunch!
The kids made Valentines for each other, so we passed those out too!
We LOVE spending time with our cousins!
Thursday was Jake's party at school. He had to bring in a decorated box to collect his treats in and then they were going to make their own heart shaped pizzas to eat for lunch!
His teacher, Ms. Shana, does such cute things with them! He had so much fun and LOVED going through his box when he got home!

Sissy and Parker made a few sweet Valentines for their teachers at school too.
By the time all of us got home, we were LOADED down with so many sweet treats!
We sure felt LOVED;)!

This little fella celebrated his first Valentine's Day...

Oh, how he just melts my heart!
There's a lot to LOVE right there;)!

Later on that evening, I had one more little thing planned for my kids...

Matt was gone with basketball again, so I treated my three little loves to a Bo Berry biscuit;)!
Heart shaped, of course!
I was just making them a little sweeter!

I love my crew and am so blessed to be loved by them!

Parker's On a Roll

Now that Parker is mobile...he is on the GO and ALL over the place.
Tonight, it didn't take long for him to find the toilet paper.
He was having fun making a MESS of the bathroom;)
Good thing he's cute;)

Things I LOVE

Saturday morning I hosted a "Favorite Things" party with some of my close girlfriends. Each girl brought five of her favorite item and then we all shared why we picked it and then gave everyone one to take home!
We had such a sweet time hanging out and catching up with each other! I am blessed with some GREAT girlfriends!

Saturday night Matt planned a date night for us. This was our early Valentine's Day celebration. We used a gift card we had to the Olive Garden and then had a evening out at "My Funny Valentine". We had such a great time spending the evening with each other. We don't get to go on many date nights with three little ones, so we definitely enjoy them when we do get to get away:)

Today the kids and I spent the day around the house doing some fun Valentine things!
We did lots of baking, crafting, and Jake got his Valentine's ready for his class party on Thursday.

Jake and Sissy didn't take naps this afternoon, so I put on "Cinderella" for them to watch. We borrowed this movie from my neighbor. Neither one of them had seen it before, but I was SO EXCITED for Sissy to see it! She LOVED it! She is all about princesses these days!

And look at this BIG boy...

The kids had pulled all the cushions off the couch when we got home from church yesterday and Parker pulled himself right up to a standing position!
Parker...you are getting so big so fast!
Please slow down!!!

LOVE my friends, LOVE my husband, and I LOVE my kids!

Parker Is 9 Months

Today my Parker is 9 months old!
This is always the time when I think about you being inside of me for 9 months!
You are turning into such a sweet, big boy and I LOVE it;)

You have figured out the whole crawling thing and are ALL over the house in a matter of NO time!
I can sit you down in one place for a second and then you are GONE! You often crawl right toward wherever Jake and Sissy are playing and want to get right in the mix. They don't always appreciate that though;).

You are also staring to pull up to your knees. Often, I will find you pulled up on your knees in the bathtub or in your bed just peeking over the side. I am just waiting to walk in and find you standing up though. I don't think it will be long!

You are eating all sorts of things. You still do baby food some, but it's usually pretty easy to just feed you what we are having. You love sloppy joes, mandarin oranges, tacos, jelly sandwiches, yogurt, toast, and tonight you ate a bowl of spaghetti!
You love to snack on puffs or graham crackers and are getting better with your sippy cup of water or apple juice.
You still take a bottle (usually 6 ounces) 4-5 times a day.

You are FINALLY sleeping better at night. You usually take your last bottle around 8:30 and then we put you to bed. You have been sleeping soundly all the way until at least 5:45, but sometimes you make it close to 7:00!
You might doze for a bit in the morning, but you take a great nap in the afternoons from 2:30-4:30.

You have lots of teeth coming in!
You have 5 that are in and 3 more that I can see on their way! Thankfully, I don't think they have bothered you that much.

You are wearing mostly 18 month clothes and a size 4 diaper, and a size 3 shoe.

You have learned to clap your hands! We love to sing, "If You're Happy and You Know It" to you and make you clap!
You still LOVE to be with me. You will crawl right over to me and want me to pick you up. Sometimes you can get fussy and you only want ME to hold you.
I just LOVE to cuddle you and kiss that round (and very bald) head of yours;)!

You are just the sweetest little boy EVER!

Here are your month pics so far!

I love you sweet Parker!

Happy 9 Month Day To YOU!

Love,
Mommy

Finally Feeling Better

For the past week Brooklyn, Parker, and I have all been sick. We have hardly left the house and have just been resting around here. Finally on Monday, I decided it was time to head to the doctor. I was actually concerned about Brooklyn, but she tested negative for both strep and the flu. Parker, however, had RSV and an ear infection! I couldn't believe it!
After getting some medicine to help clear everyone up, we are on the mend and feeling better and stronger each day!

It was such a pretty day outside this afternoon, so after they both woke up from their naps, we headed out for just a bit to get some fresh air!

It was so nice to be able to get out a little and play and hopefully clear out those germs!

So glad my babies are better!
