A Donut Run and Romp N' Roll

Yesterday I had a few fun things planned for my kids.
Our first stop was the NEW Dunkin Donuts that was built not far from us;) My Grandpa would have been proud, eh? Some coupons came in the mail the other day, so I thought it would be the perfect start to our week! We actually tried to go on Friday, but the roads were already a bit too slippery for me from our "ice storm", so we headed back home.
This was Parker's first Dunkin Donut.
Of course, he LOVED it;)
Jake ordered a chocolate one with LOTS of sprinkles...
and Sissy wanted...PINK!
After our breakfast treat we headed back home for just a bit, until it was time for a play date with a buddy from Jake's preschool class. Mick and his mom invited us to Romp N' Roll for an afternoon of fun!
The kids all played great and had a blast running, rolling, flipping, and bouncing all over the place!
My kids missed naps, so they were exhausted by the time we got home!
My SWEET Parker LOVED it and had the best time!
He was crawling all over the place! I could hardly keep up with him!
It was a great day and I LOVED spending it with my three!

Just Call Me Nana

The other night we were driving home from somewhere and Jake asked me what my name was going to be when I got old. I didn't understand what he meant, so I asked him to clarify. He said when I got to be an old lady, what could he call me. Ha! I said, "How about Nana". He said that was perfect!
Love my little boy!

Chick-fil-a and Some Really Fun Play

This morning Matt and I took the kids to Chick-fil-a for a yummy breakfast. Matt went in to work a little bit later this morning because he had to work all weekend. We enjoyed our time together and it definitely got our Monday off to a great start.
After we finished up, we headed back home. I had a special afternoon planned for just my Jake and I.
I asked my MIL to come over and keep Sissy and Parker so I could have some one on one time with him. I was so excited about what I had planned:)
I found out that Romp N' Roll was holding free classes for preschool aged kids this week, so I signed us up to go! It is one of our most favorite places to play!
(On our way to play Jake kept saying in the car, "Mamma, it's really quite in here!" Ha!)
We participated in a really fun gymnastics class!
The kids has some free time to run around and play, but then they worked on some gymnastic skills too! Jake LOVED it and I LOVED being with him!
He was such a sweet boy and listened to everything the instructor said!
It was such a special time with just me and my big boy!
I love him to pieces and am so thankful for him!

Hoping for Snow!

It's actually a bit funny that I wrote in my last post about the warm January days we have been having because tonight we are watching the weather and staring out our windows for SNOW!
I am hoping for just enough to let the kids play in it for a bit. We have no plans tomorrow, so a little snow, some hot chocolate, and maybe a jammie day sounds perfect to me:)!

Warm January Days

I feel like we have been stuck inside for the past several months! It has just been to cold for us to go out and play but, yesterday was one of those warm January days that we just had to get out and enjoy!
We skipped naps and instead rode bikes, played baseball, went for walks, and blew bubbles!
We couldn't pass up a warm day;)
I think we are ready for Spring!

Parker Is 8 Months!

Today my Parker is 8 months old! Another month has flown by!
You are getting to be such a big boy and changing so much each and everyday. The biggest change this month is how mobile you are getting! You are not quite crawling yet, but you are SO close! You can get into a crawling position, but then you fall on your belly. You get so frustrated when you are on your belly and end up crying until I sit you back up! We do this just about all day long! Ha!
You do still manage to somehow scoot around the room because I can set you down in one place and a few minutes later you are somewhere else!
You are wearing 18-24 month clothes, a size 2 or 3 shoe, and a size 4 diaper.
You are still taking bottles (6-7 ounces) througout the day, but I have given you a sippy cup some too. You still mainly just chew on it and completely soak your clothes;). I usually just put water it in, but have tried some apple juice a time or two. You eat baby food 2-3 times day as well. You love any fruit I give you, but are not so much a fan of the veggies. When I give you veggies I have to alternate your bites with fruit. I have to trick you to get you to eat them! I have also given you some bites of real food! You have had pumpkin bread, black beans, kidney beans, organic baby yogurt, and some jelly sandwich!
You are still a tricky sleeper! I give you your last bottle around 8:30 and I try not to feed you again until at least 5:00am. If you wake up crying in the night, I just go in and give you your little lovey and paci and then sneak right back out. USUALLY this puts you back to sleep. Ugh;)!
You still catnap in the mornings, but usually give me a good afternoon nap.
You are REALLY starting to want me and only me! You actully LOVE for me to hold you and always look for me to be close by.
You have two bottom teeth and two top!
Everyone ALWAYS comments on your big ol' smile! You are such a sweet baby and I could just eat you with a spoon! You are getting to be so playful too! We love to make you "jump up and down", play peek-a-boo with you, and sometimes you will do "so big" for us! I am trying to get you to clap your hands! Maybe that will be your next trick!
We love you, Paker James!
Happy 8 Month Day to YOU!
I love you to the moon and back!

"My Bubble Bath" (author unknown)

Once I’m in my bubble bath
I like to stir up more.
Half the suds go in my eyes
And half go on the floor.

The fun is in the bubbles ‘cause
They giggle on my skin,
And when I stick them on my face
They dangle from my chin.

When I splash them hard enough
They pop and disappear,
Then my bath time’s over ‘cause
I’v made the water clear!
