Movies In The Park Finale

As soon as Matt got home from work on Friday evening, we loaded up as quick as we could for a fun family night out!
Our little town puts on "Movies In The Park" throughout the summer. Matt took the two biggies earlier in the summer, but it was right after Parker was born so I didn't get to go.
This past Friday night was the last one of the year and we were sure to be there!

We stopped by a brand new burger place in town for dinner, but it was ridiculously crowded, so we got ours to go and took it to the park and had a picnic!

The atmosphere at the park was so fun! They had games, giveaways, and free drinks and popcorn for all!
As soon as it got dark everyone took their seats and got ready for the movie to start!

We had to pack our sweatshirts and blankets because when the sun went down it got a little cool.

Matt got to snuggle this girl for most of the movie...

And I got to snuggle my sweet Parker...

The movie that they played was "The Adventures of Tin Tin".
It was a pirate movie so Jake was totally into it!

Loves these two so much.
Wish they would stay this size forever;)!

We were out pretty late for our crew, but we sure did make some special memories!
I LOVE the time I get to spend with my family!

Friday at Frogs:)

My sister took this pic on her phone, so it's a bit blurry, but I took the kids to Sweet Fr0gs today and had the BEST time. I absolutley LOVE Fridays and this was the perfect way to celebrate the end of the week! I think Sissy loves SF's just as much as I do;)!

Just A Friday At The Fair

Last Friday my sister and I took all the cousins to the county fair.
It was preschool day so everyone got in for free!
Not everything is open, but everything that the little ones would like is!
They got to see the animals, watch the pig races and look at some of the exhibits.

All the cousins (minus Parker)...

We saw all sorts of animals and smelled all sorts of smells;)! Whew!

Jake's favorite thing to see were the bunnies:)
It was such a pretty day and everyone had so much fun taking it all in!
One of our all time favorite things to see is "Robinson's Racing Pigs".
Sophie was chosen as one of the piggy's cheerleaders, and her pig won, so she got a blue ribbon!!!

My sisters Allison and Kelly came with us!
It was great to have them their to help with all our little ones;)!
We had a fun day all together and loved our time at the fair!

Parker's 4 Month Check-Up

Today was Parker's 4 month check-up.

Everything is looking just great!
He is a strong and growing boy and the doctor was very pleased with how he is doing!

We all took a guess last night at how much we thought he would weigh. We all guessed pretty close.
He was 20 lbs 14 oz (99%) and 27'' long (99%).
His head was 17 1/4 cm (88%).

I took all three with me to the appointment, so I was VERY prepared with several snacks, juice cups, and plenty of activities:). I didn't know if we would have to wait at all and didn't want to take any chances! Ha!
Everyone did great! Whew;)!
Our doctor came in pretty quickly and checked my sweet boy out!
She asked all sorts of questions and he seems to be doing great!
She said we could start solids whenever we would like. I usually try to wait just a bit longer.
Usually closer to 6 months.

My Parker had to get 3 shots today. Jake and I held his little hands and sang "Jesus Loves Me" in his ear. He literally only cried for about three seconds and then was just fine!

Blessed with a healthy boy!
Can't wait to see how much you will grow and change in the next month!

Love you Parker!
XOXOXOXOXOXOX

Parker Is 4 Months and Brooklyn Is 21 Months

Today my sweet Parker is 4 months old!

He is growing big and strong and I am so thankful for him!

He has his 4 month check up on Monday, so I will find out his official stats then, but here are a few things I want to remember...

He is a BIG boy. That is the fist thing everyone says when they see him! Ha!
Matt calls him a meatball! He is just one round ball of squishiness and is just oh so yummy!

He usually drinks 6-7 ounces at a time and will eat every 3 hours or so.
He loves his mommy's milk:)

You will take a paci...sometimes. More than Jake or Brooklyn ever did!
Sometimes I can get you to take it and it puts you sound asleep:)

He usually wears 9-12 month clothes. Right now I am stuffing him in his summer clothes because I don't want to buy anything more until the fall! Poor guy!
He wears a size 3 diaper and I am not really sure what shoe size he is because I don't think I have put a pair on him yet! He has gone barefoot all summer!

He is sleeping pretty good at night. We have good nights and great nights:). We try to feed him around 9:00 and most nights he will go until 4 or 5am, however we, still have the occasional night of seeing 3:30 or so. He has always been very good about eating and then going right back to sleep though, so that helps!

Most mornings I would say he cat naps because we are usually doing something or going somewhere, but then that means he will (usually) give me a great 3 hour nap or so in the afternoon!
And I will say he is a bit spoiled because I usually put him in our bed for a nap.
He LOVES to cuddle in our bed and he just snuggles right in!

He rolled over for the fist time a few weeks ago, but hasn't really done much of that since!
He rolled from his tummy to his back. I guess we have to keep working on that trick;).
I have put him in the exersaucer a few times now and he seems to really like it...at least for a few minutes!

He still has blue eyes and his red hair which I LOVE:) So fun!

Parker, I love you so much! You are my love!
Keep growing big and strong!

XOXOXOX

Not only is it Parker's special day, but Brooklyn's too!

Today my Brooklyn bear is 21 months!

I can't believe you are right around the corner from turning 2!
WOW!
You are definitely my sweet girl! We have to stick together with all these boys around:)

You are also growing so big and strong!
You are really funny these days because you copy EVERYTHING we do! Ha!
Sometimes we will do stuff just to see you try it:)
You love to dance! Anytime music is on, you start dancing and it is so fun to watch!

You are starting to talk more and more. You know everyones name in our family and can say lots of animal noises. You love to read books too. Your favorite one these days is "The Wheels on the Bus". You want us to read it to you ALL.THE.TIME!

You have been a little bit more picky lately when it comes to food.
You don't like to try anything new, which drives me crazy! Ha!
Your favorite foods are tacos, spaghetti, pizza, cheerios with peaches or strawberries on them, yogurt, applesauce, black beans, and donuts:) You love milk and apple juice too!

You wear size 3T and 4T clothes and a size 6 or 7 shoe. I am stuffing you in your summer clothes as well these days. Your poor little toes are poking out of your white church sandals!

You take a great afternoon nap for me. You go down at 2:00 (right after we watch your most favorite show ever...Curious George) and will sleep until 4:30 or so. Sometimes I have to wake you up if you sleep too long!

You go down for bed around 9, but we are trying to get you to go down just a bit earlier now that we are back in school. You like to sleep until 8 or 8:30, but school mornings I have to wake you up at 7:00!

You are daddy's sunshine for sure! He loves him some Sissy!
But, I do too:)

 I love you sweet girl!

Happy Month Day to YOU!

Love,
Mommy

Apple Picking Adventures

This past Saturday we met up with some of our friends for a day of apple picking at
Sky Top Apple Orchard.
It was such a fun day!
The thought of apple picking made me want some nice cool fall weather, but it was still pretty hot and we were all sweating by the end of it all!

We had never been to Sky Top, but had heard such great things about it!
It took us about two hours to get there, but it was well worth the trip!

We hiked just a bit to find the type of apple we were wanting.
The kids worked so hard to find the biggest, the brightest, and the reddest apples they could find:)

I love these pics of Sissy.
Look at her tongue!
It was so fun to be able to have Daddy come along with us!

He made reaching for the apples at the top of the trees just a little easier!

This little boy is the apple of my eye;)!

Of course we had to taste test them before we put them in our buckets!
After we gathered as many apples as we could fit in our baskets, we headed for some shade. We packed a picnic lunch and had some of the yummiest apple donuts we have ever tasted!

Everyone so exhausted from a fun morning that our next adventure was a hayride!
It was nice to just sit and feel a little breeze as we rode through the orchard!

Look at these tired faces...

By this point Parker was so hot and tired so I took him back to the car while Daddy took these guys on one last hike through the bamboo forest...

I love spending days like this with my family...

making such sweet memories together...

So blessed with a fun day!

Now, let all the apple baking begin!

First Day

Today was our first day of school!
I have been so anxious about this day for weeks now. My stomach was in knots all day yesterday hoping and praying that everything would go smooth.

I was most concerned about getting everyone up and ready and out the door on time. Having a newborn adds a few more tasks to the already crazy, busy morning!
Also, this year my school moved to a new building, so I was a little unsure about getting everything settled. My two babies were going to be in childcare there, so I was hoping I didn't forget anything and that they didn't cry when being dropped off. Whew.
I am teaching a new class this year, so I was a little bit nervous on how that would go as well.

However, I have to tell you that we had the BEST morning.
I got up super early, but everything went so well.
I KNEW people were praying for me because I just felt a peace over us.
The BIGGEST blessing to my job is that Brooklyn and Parker can come with me and they are right down the hall! My school provides childcare for their teachers which is just AMAZING!
They were well taken care of and I know Brooklyn played and played all morning. Such fun for her!
Parker did great too! He slept for a little bit, but enjoyed lots of cuddling too:)!

As soon as I was done teaching, we ran home for a second, got some lunch and then headed right back out the door because we had to pick up my Jake from his FIRST DAY of PRESCHOOL!

Oh my! Did I miss him!
I could not wait to pick him up and hear all about his day!

Mrs. Shana said he had a fantastic day. He was a bit nervous and shy when Matt dropped him off, but he did great as soon as he left. They did lots of sweet "first day" activities, played on the playground, had snack and lunch, learned new songs, and discovered what was in Mrs. Shana's "Mystery Bag"!

I am thrilled for my Jake and am so very excited about this coming year for him!

I am so glad we all had a super first day of school!
