This weekend was spent with sweet family and special friends!
Matt's brother, Josh, and his family came up from Florida for the weekend!
We all had fun hanging out and watching all the cousins play together.
Of course, they had never met Parker, so that was kind of special too!
Here's the best picture we got of all the cousins together...
Everyone came to our house Saturday morning to visit and then we went over to Matt's parents house Saturday evening.
Love my Brooklyn bear:)
Parker mostly slept his weekend away:)
His first Memorial Day...3 weeks old!
Monday morning we woke up and I did some straightening up around the house while Matt did some yard work. We took the kids to the pool for the first time this year and let them swim! The LOVED it! The water felt great and they swam for a good long while! We packed a lunch and ate it at the pool before heading back home for naps!
We decided to have a few good friends over for a cookout later on in the afternoon.
We grilled shish kabobs, had baked potatoes, orange fluff, rolls, veggies, and homemade pound cake with fresh strawberries for dessert! It was so good!
The kids played, swam some more, and enjoyed their red, white, and blue popsicles:)
We LOVE summer time!
Everyone was a bit worn out by the end of the day!
We had a great day celebrating the men and women who give so much for our country!
We enjoyed a morning brunch together at Pikes Soda Shop.
They have the most amazing Sunday brunch ever!
Matt's parents came over and kept Jake and Brooklyn, but we took sweet baby Parker with us...
He didn't even know we were there! He slept the entire time! Ha!
Matt and I are so excited that we have made it six years! Of course we have had our fair share of good days and bad days, but we love each other and get through it all together!
He is the perfect match for me (no matter how opposite we are, ha) and I am so glad that the Lord placed him in my life.
We have laughed together, cried together, and have made lots and lots of great memories!
We have been blessed with three amazing kids who are the light of our lives!
These six years have been awesome, but we know the best is yet to come!
Happy 6th Anniversary!
I love you more than you know!
Sissy has been in need of a haircut for several weeks now. We are trying to let it grow a little, but to me, girls hair can be so tricky! It was getting so stringy in the back and I wanted a little bit of a fresher look. Lets just say our kids don't have the best hair genes, so growing out her hair too long, isn't an option:)
I called my friend Sarah up who lives just down the street from me and she stopped by yesterday to give Sissy her new do:)
She had to sit on my lap for most of the cut.
She actually did great and didn't wiggle much!
Mrs. Sarah cut a few pieces for me and put them in a baggie for me to save!
So far we are off to a GREAT start! Parker has been here a week now and things are going well!
We are getting some rest:) and getting into a little bit of a groove.
We have been out to a few places, but have mostly stayed close to home.
This past Friday, I took Parker to the doctor for his first visit.
They checked him out from head to toe. They thought he might have a bit of jaundice, so they pricked his heal to test him. His levels came back borderline, so we are just watching him until his next appointment on Wednesday.
When we left the hospital on Wednesday he weighed 7lbs. 10 oz. Friday he weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. The doctor was very happy with that (43%). He was 21 inches long (90%) and his little head was 14 inches (45%).
The doctor asked me about his eating and sleeping.
He is eating about 3 ounces every 2-3 hours. He will take a paci pretty easily, which is kinda nice:) Neither Jake or Brooklyn took one. He sleeps a lot during the day and does pretty good at night, waking every 2-3 hours. So far we get up, feed him, change him, and he goes right back to sleep:).
Matt has been a BIG help to me.
Having three little ones is busy, but we have things under control so far! Ha!
Here are a few pics from Parker's first week...
This was right after his first bath (which he did not like, ha).
I love this little outfit on him (and his wrinkled little forehead).
All cuddled up...
My little snuggle buddy...
I just CAN NOT believe he is mine!
I stare at him all the time. I love to look at his little legs, tiny fingers and hands, wrinkled feet, and kiss his little warm cheeks!
I am so blessed to have three babies that I love so so so much!
Last Mother's Day Brooklyn was new to our family and this Mother's Day sweet Parker is here!
I LOVE being a mommy to these kiddos!
Jake keeps me on my toes every day! He is a tough cookie sometimes, but can be oh so sweet! He woke up this morning and the first thing he said to me was "Hey, is today Mother's Day?" I said yes and he said, "Oh, Happy Mother's Day!". He gives "to tights" all the time (big hugs) and will often turn the "kissing machine" on too:)! He loves to play and is all boy!
Brooklyn bear is my sweet love. She can get a little attitude at times too, but she is MY girl!
She looks for me in the morning to get her out of her bed. She will snuggle with me and is growing bigger and bigger every day! She especially seems SO big to me since Parker has been around!
Parker is my precious baby boy! I look at him and just can't believe he is here! He is so tiny, and I just want to kiss him all the time! I want him to stay tiny forever:) I want to remember his squeaky cry, his sweet baby smell and his tiny hands and feet!
Today is an extra special day!
What a blessing these THREE are to me!
Thank you for making me a mommy!
I will love you THREE forever!
Parker James is here and he is perfect and precious in EVERY way!
Monday morning we woke up early and eagerly awaited the phone to ring to tell us to come in. With both Jake and Brooklyn the call came around 5:30am, but this time it was around 9:45am letting us know to be there at 10:30am. Because my induction was elective, I had to wait to see if a bed would be available.
We arrived at the hospital. I wasn't really nervous, but when we got there, I just couldn't believe the time had come!
They took us back to the labor and delivery room and got us all settled in.
This is my "before" shot:)
I got changed and got comfortable...
Several doctors and nurses came in and said we had one of the best views on the floor...
Everything moved very quickly for me. I had already progressed a good bit by the time I got to the hospital. I received my epidural and my water was broken around 2:30 and at 3:44pm. Parker was born! Whew! That was fast!
Here I am holding Parker for the first time!
Love at first sight!
He weighed 7lbs. 15oz. and was 21in. long!
He was the exact same as Jake!
The three of us together for the first time...
Matt was so great! He was so excited to meet his new little boy!
Our nurse Francis did a fantastic job. She was so sweet and helped us move right along throughout the day!
And Dr. Dehoff was great too!
He has delivered all three of my babies now!
It didn't take long for Parker to get his first bath...
He had to get cleaned up for some VERY IMPORTANT visitors:)
Later on that evening BIG BROTHER Jake and BIG SISSY Brooklyn came up to meet their new brother!
I LOVE Jake's face in this picture!
He did so great with Parker!
Sissy LOVED him! She was all about him and wanted to be right in his face!
(We found out Sissy had a sinus infection and we had to keep her at a distance for a few days. It hurt me so bad to not be able to see her at all the next day.)
After some time lovin' on new brother, we had a birthday party to celebrate his special day!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PARKER!
Here are some pics from throughout our hospital stay...
Daddy and his little boy...
ALL my LOVES:)
Some special men in my life...
This is Dawn and she was my nurse for most of my stay. She has also taken care of me and each of my kids when we were in the hospital!
She does a GREAT job!
I am ALWAYS ready to go home after my stay...
Here we are being wheeled down to be discharged...
Daddy buckling Parker up for the ride home...
Matt and I are so blessed and thankful for the healthy blessing the Lord has given our family!
Well, tonight is the last night of being a family of four. I have to say it is bittersweet.
While I am thrilled for what is to come, it will just be different at first.
We will soon be in our new routine and adjusting to life with three small kids! Ahh!
I think just about everything is ready to go. Our bags are packed, the camera batteries are charged, and my sister is here spending the night, so now we just try to get a good nights rest and wait for the phone to ring in the morning! Yikes!
The kids actually just went to bed. It's almost 10:00, but I was trying to squeeze all the time out of them I could before bed.
I will be worrying about them all day tomorrow. I just hate missing out on any time with them.
They are my world! I will be so anxious to get back home and be with them!
Leaving them is one of the hardest part for me!
My Jake and I made a very special "birth"day cake for Baby Parker this afternoon.
When they come up to the hospital tomorrow we will celebrate by having a little birthday party!
Brooklyn is who I will probably worry about the most.
She is a mommy's girl for sure and wants me all of the time!
She is still so little and I don't want her to miss me:(
Plus, I am not sure how she is feeling.
She woke up this morning with a nasty cough.
She has been OK this afternoon, but I would hate for her not to feel good and me not be there.
I love you Jake and Brooklyn! You both will be such great siblings to Parker!
I am proud of you and can't wait to squeeze your necks tomorrow and give you lots of kisses!
I will miss you so much, but am looking forward to loving on all three of my little loves tomorrow!
Can't wait for you to meet your new brother! He is one lucky little boy to have you guys in his life!
